I have a werks b3 and a Dynamite platinum 21 that both need to be rebuilt. Wich of these engines would be better to run in my truggy. Those of you that know me, know I don't know squat about this stuff yet. I just want to know which of these would give me what I need for truggy? I would like better exceleration and more top end than the axial .28 spec 1 that I have now.:confused2

I have personally never ran either but both should be good. The dynamite should be almost the same as a sportwerks or SH motor and Werks stuff is good too. Just run the freshest motor till it craps out then the other. Make sure to have the right pipe for both. JP-1ish for the Dynamite.

Here is what I understand to be the rule when talking about engines and ports in 2 stroke engines.. The fewer the ports the better the bottom end, and the more ports the better the top end.. Given this you can add a pipe that will help with the place that gets softened by the porting.
The Werks is a 3 port engine hence it should make a really good bottom end power, according to the rule at least. Couple it with a JP2 or an 086 and you could have an engine that does what your after.
The Dynamite platinum is a 9 port engine.. Which means it should SCREAM, but I'm not so sure it will rap out like the # of ports would suggest. Although it should make more top end than the Werks 3 port. Couple it with a JP1 like spencer sugested and you could also have what your looking for..
If Hobby World is the only track your gonna race at then either engine will do what your after and do it well. So, in short rebuild the one that is the cheapest to rebuild for now, couple the proper pipe to it, and runt he snot out of it..
BTW I am not an expert on this, just relaying the info I have picked up over this last season.

thanks guys as always, I appreciate the help. Since they are both about the same cost to rebuild, I will probably go with the dynamite since hobby world already has the piston and sleave. I already have a new con rod so after I break it in I will change the rod also. I do have both the dynamite high end and low end pipes so I can test with both of them to see what works best.

With the top end that motor should have the low end pipe should work the best, but as always testing is the only way to find out for sure..
