Fastlane Dirt and Carpet Oval Schedule

Here's the plan for oval racing for the next month or so:

Friday - Sept 18th - Dirt Oval under the lights. Track opens at 4:30 PM, racing starts at 6:30

Saturday - Sept 19th - Carpet oval in the afternoon, dirt oval in the evening. Track opens at 10:00 AM. Carpet oval starts at 1 PM. Dirt oval starts at 5:00.

Friday & Saturday Oct 2nd & 3rd. Indoor dirt oval trophy race at Real R-C at Fastlane

Friday, Oct 9th - Dirt Oval under the lights. Track opens at 4:30 PM, racing starts at 6:30

Carpet Oval every Thursday night. Track opens at 5 PM; racing starts at 6:30.

I do realize there is a NSCS final in Joplin this weekend (18th and 19th) but that will affect mostly the nitro guys from our area. And running our oval this weekend will give the guys who don't travel to Joplin a chance to race Fri and /or Sat.

Our last outdoor oval race of the year will be this Friday, Oct 9th. I'll have the shop open and track prepped by 4:30 PM. The aim is to start the first round at 6:30 PM. Pit indoors, race outdoors so even if the weather is a little chilly it shouldn't be too bad.

I had wanted to hold our last outdoor dirt oval event of the season tonight but mother nature hasn't cooperated. The track is very muddy and what little sunshine we're getting is coming too late with the temp this cool.

Weather going forward is likely to get even worse so I guess that's it for this outdoor oval season.

A huge thank you for giving us a place to race. Just wish i would of been able to run under the lights. Can't wait til 2010. Ive already started working on my cars for next year. Also, I almost forgot to thank all the other people behind the scenes; from people in the hobby shop, the ground crew and the scoring booth. Sorry not good with names but thank you. Thank you to all the guys that traveled from out of town to race. It was great to meet all of you.

Also would like to give a big thank you to Eddie, Dr. phil and Pup for helping in the pits.
