Where to buy Slash Trucks New

Alrighty now the boy and I are looking to buy new slash trucks... I would like to ask who around here in the KCMO area has bought local for a decent price .. Tower Hobbies Ultimate Combo is $279.00 plus shipping ... geez I remember we used to toss shipping fees out if your bill went over the $200.00 mark... Any suggestions who to go thru... Does the Local Track sell new kits?? I have not made it in there yet I see some cool pics of the track..

I've seen them at the track and at Hobby Haven. I'm sure Hobbytown USA north carries them too, but I would call them first before driving around, to make sure they're in stock. Those things sell REAL well.....

I just went to tower hobbies site to look at the ultimate combo deal and it really doesnt seem like a good deal to me. the smaller combo is a joke with a 1500 mah battery!!?? it would take longer to charge than run time,lol. Do you need a charger and such too? are you starting out brand new to the sport? Many guys around here have chargers and batteries for sale that would save you $$.

hey fyi the young guys are buying out the owner at hobby heaven and a fastlane racer (robert sode)started working there a week ago they have more traxxas stuff than the op hobbytown ever had they are big on plaines & parts but they have a lot of surface rc

Cool Thanks for the heads up ... Well I ran for a couple of months back in the late 80's early 90's and I have just sold all the Old School stuff .. just want to get into something newer so my son and I will start out fresh for everything ... I like supporting local shops mom and pops and such ... Big Box does not care how I feel as long as the money hits their bank....LOL ... I have been searching around the web and yeah some advertise great prices but I worked in a hobby shop in Oxnard Ca and we stocked it all or we had it within 2 days for customers... This is why I like local dealers they want your business and care what happens after the transaction..... I do not mind buying used but I like what I see with thr Traxxas Truck and I just want to start my boy off with a very new and awsome time he needs to share with his Old Man .... I can bash with him and be happy!!! I will be sending out some Pm's soon so Thanks to all who help keep this sport alive ... When I did my hobby time with Blue Max Hobbies in Cali who is now back east running a web business we taught people how to fly.... planes.... heli...boats...cars so it is something I want to have my son share with his friends and help teach him to help others as well....
