Is anybody removing the bullet connectors and direct soldering the ESC wires to the motor? Is it worth it?

I would keep the connectors, but put a drop of solder on each one. If you are not fealing heat on them after you run, you probably are not loosing any power, but keep the connectors so you can say that your car is still legal.

Deans plugs just because I didn't like the cheesey bullet connectors.

I read somewhere if you turn the ESC 180 degrees the wires will reach the motor to connect directly but its tight.

Yea, i heard that too, but i cut the connectors of and it was way too short to direct solder them even if you turned the ESC around. I just soldered them together, works fine.
