On May 25th and May 26th RC racing is going to take a step forward in the Kansas City/Midwest racing scene.
A two day event at two different tracks using combined results/points, to determine the top three in 7 classes.
Real RC Raceway - Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Timberline Raceway - Osawatomie, Kansas will host a trophy race.
Steve Hale (P-Hill) will open for practice Friday May 25th at 3pm.
Qualifiers (3 rounds) will start at 7pm.
At the end of the night the results will be based on lowest score to determine points to carry to Timberline Raceway on Saturday. Example: 1st place 0 points;2nd place 2 points;3rd 3 points ect......
Timberline Raceway will open for Practice at 12 noon on Saturday May 26th.
Qualifiers (3 rounds IF WE CAN) REASON BEING RESTRICTIONS FROM COUNTY. But two rounds guaranteed.
Qualifiing will start at 2PM.
After the finish of A-Mains on Saturday night,we will add the results from Friday night at P-Hill to the results from T-Line and in this case lowest score WINS. Highest finishing results during the mains at Timberline will determine the TIE-BREAKERS between the two tracks.
Plaques will be awarded after the conclusion mains Saturday evening.
Classes:
Electric Offroad
Sportsman 1/10 scale Nitro Stadium Truck
Expert 1/10 scale Nitro Stadium Truck
Stock Monster Truck
Unlimited Monster Truck
Sportsman 1/8 scale Nitro Buggy
Expert 1/8 scale Nitro Buggy
Fee's:
$20.00 dollars per class per night of racing. (example:40 bucks total for two days racing,1-class)
You will pay your race fees to each track based on your entry that night.
We understand that it's possible that you can only race maybe one of these race dates. But the trophys will be handed out based on the 2 combined racing results.
This is a really cool idea I hope we see all of you there.
PS, Formal flyers are being devloped look for them here and hobby stores.

Steve and Dave I think that is a good choice on an announcer. Mike did a great job on the mo. pro series race. It sounded like he had as much fun doing that as he did racing. Going to try to make the races but not sure I can.The Races Sound Like a Blast. Right now I need a moment of silence for my engine cause it is dead and am tring to some cash up for an engine so I can get in on this.
Hope to see you there

Just to remind everyone, bring your FM radio's to BOTH tracks. If memory serves me correctly, Timberline and Real RC broadcast on the FM channels now.
I'm not positive on the channel though, maybe we can get those posted in advance so guys are ready.

Looks like we might get a little free water in the form of a short rain shower tonight and tomorrow. Be nice if it kept it cool and was just enough water for traction....
See you guys at P-hill, I'll be out there around 1 or 2PM.

I have to say,
That was the most fun I have every had racing RC. Reminds me of back when, fishing tournaments in a circuit. But all piled up in two days instead of 2 months. I really enjoyed racing with P-Hill's expert buggy class racers. I knew I wasn't going to turn the times as they did going into the weekend but I learned alot and never have raced so fast and clean side to side racing in my life. Fast clean racing is what excites me the most.
I think looking at the times I diffently needed to be in intermediate class as far as finishing results but to me that aint't the thrill.
I saw some of the best racing ever in the last two days in all classes. It was a great club race atmoshere all weekend.
I want to give special thanks to Steve Hale as with his professional experiance really came forward on putting on a event like this.
Also,
Mike Garrison, can't say enough. Dude your awesome!!! Thanks for the play by play, and the organization to keep everybody rolling along. It was really apparent to me how all the guys respect you. It was like shhhhh what did Mike say? Crap, time to race!!!!

I had a lot of fun and got to meet and hang out with all the guys I talk to on here. Hard fought battle in all the classes at both tracks. Dave and Steve way to go on a successful race event, the way club racing should be.
P.S.
Name should fit better!!!!!

rumble with rain coats on maybe
No rain coats required...all you needed was a good attitude and a race prepped RC and you could have joined in. You missed a heck of a good time.
