Checkered Flag Raceway Big news

Hi All,
We have a couple of things we wanted to let you all know about as we prepare for the upcoming season. First off we would like to welcome Venom Racing Products as a sponsor again for this year. They were a big help to us last season and we are glad to have them back.
Now for the big news. Donna finally gets a break as we will be scoring the races this season with a AMB 20 system we were able to purchase. We hope everyone is looking forward to this season. We know we are. We would like to thank Bill Hartpence, Kris Woodard and Gary Offut for there help and hard work in preparing for the season. We hope to see all of you this Sunday April 23rd for our Open Practice and RC Swap Meet from 9 - 5. You will be able to get your 2006 Club Memberships on this day. Don't forget THE BEAST Modified Simulator will be here also, so we can see who can tame the BEAST. Once again we hope to see you Sunday.

Congrats on the scoring system, Its just as much of a benifit to your racers as it is to the scorer. Stats and reports for each race/racer, VERY cool!

I'm sad to see another job being lost to a computer, but Donna deserves a break. Donna was great at counting laps and I for one have no idea how she was able to do it all day long and not make mistakes. If I were doing the scoring we would have needed to move the races to Lakeside Speedway so I would have enough time between cars to find their number on the keyboard.

"We are missing the #2 Yellow Transponder, Please return it to the scoring table" is a sweet sound!!! I think anyone that has raced at Checkered Flag knows that Donna was the hardest worker on race day. Yes, even harder than Jim running the hose every round to try to get the track wet enough that his cars would hook up better!!! Your secret is out!! HA HA
